Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

Book a free discovery call. We’ll talk about your business and what you need, and I’ll recommend the service that fits. If we’re a good match, I’ll send a proposal with next steps.

What happens on the free discovery call?

It’s a conversation over Zoom about your business. I’ll ask about your goals, the challenges you’ve run into, whether you have an established brand, and your advertising schedule. Bring your questions, and I’ll answer to the best of my ability. You’ll leave with a clearer picture of what to focus on, whether or not we work together.

What are your hours?

I’m available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern.

Do you only coach, or do you also do the work?

Both. Some clients want coaching so they can run their store themselves. Others need hands-on help, like reorganizing their store, selecting products, choosing a niche, or reaching out to vendors. I’ve run my own Shopify store for more than seven years, so I’ve worked through most of these problems myself.

Do you work with businesses outside your area?

Yes. I work with clients over Zoom, so location isn’t a barrier for coaching, store work, or local search.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the package you choose and what your business needs. We’ll go over options and pricing after your free discovery call.

What’s included in Shopify coaching?

Coaching includes:

    • Hands-on coaching sessions over Zoom

    • A customized road map for your store

    • Product page optimization with SEO

    • Store build (optional)

    • Recommendations for store reviews

If your store needs hands-on work, such as reorganizing collections or selecting products, we can add that to your plan.

Who is Shopify coaching for?

Small business owners who sell on Shopify or want to and need a guide who has done it. It’s especially useful if you sell high-ticket products, are launching a new store, or have a store that gets visitors but not enough sales.

Do I need a Shopify store already?

No. I can help you choose a niche, find vendors, and set up your store from the start. If you already have a store, we’ll start with what’s working and what isn’t.

Do I need technical skills?

No. Shopify is built for business owners, not developers. I’ll explain things in plain language and show you how to do the parts you want to handle yourself.

How long does coaching last?

It depends on your goals. I build every coaching plan around your business, and engagements can run from 90 days up to one year.

I took a Shopify course, and I’m still stuck. Can you help?

Yes, this is one of the most common reasons people reach out. Courses cover the basics, but they can’t look at your store. I work on your actual products, pages, and problems.

Why do you focus on high-ticket products?

High-ticket products need fewer sales to build a profitable business. They also need stronger product pages and more trust, because customers research longer before they buy. That’s what I’ve done on my own store every day for more than seven years.

Will you help me understand my profit margins?

Yes, and it’s one of the first things we look at. Many new store owners price their products by subtracting the vendor cost from the sale price and calling the rest profit. That leaves out the expenses that decide whether a store actually makes money.

What costs do new store owners usually overlook?

The ones I see missed most often:
• Shopify plan and apps: monthly fees that add up as your store grows
• Payment processing: a percentage of every sale
• Shipping: especially for large or heavy high-ticket items
• Returns and damaged orders: lost product, return shipping, and restocking
• Advertising: the cost of getting each sale, which is often higher than people expect
• Marketing tools: email, design, and scheduling software

When those costs aren’t planned for, a product that looks profitable can lose money on every order. Before you spend on ads, we’ll work out your real margins so your prices and expectations are based on actual numbers.
